About the Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Mental Health Services is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Nurse Bank. This is a unique chance for mental health nurses at all levels to gain valuable experience in different specialties within inpatient mental health services.

As a Nurse Bank member, you will:

- Be employed as a permanent full-time or part-time nurse, with the flexibility to be seconded to various inpatient units.

- Contribute to improved clinical safety by providing a stable, well-orientated workforce.

- Fill roles covering long-term leave, maternity leave, or higher-grade duties across the district.

- Receive the same leave entitlements and performance development support as regular employees.

What You'll Be Doing
The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Inpatient Mental Health Services provide comprehensive care across several facilities, including the newly redeveloped Campbelltown Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. These services offer a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals with acute and non-acute mental health needs.

The multidisciplinary teams, consisting of professionals with diverse mental health expertise, deliver exceptional care through specialised units such as the Mental Health Intensive Care Unit, Adult Acute Unit, and Older People's Mental Health Unit. The service is committed to patient safety and high-quality care, maintaining external accreditation with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.

With active teaching and research links to various universities, SWSLHD Inpatient Mental Health Services provide excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
