Job Summary
A Telecommunication Project Engineer is required to lead Telecom or Infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have experience in NOKIA 3G or 4G or LTE mobile network roll-outs and a good understanding of NOKIA site and delivery processes.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and cooperate with subcontractors, and may require travel within Australia.
About the Role
This is an initial 6-month contract with a global Telecom client. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting LTE Network in Rail environments.
Key responsibilities include:
* Responsible for Telecom or Infrastructure according to specialty/expertise required within own area or across field organization.
* Installation knowledge and understanding of 3G/4G multi-vendor site builds.
* Responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting LTE Network in Rail environments.
* Lead, train, and support 3rd party contractors for installing, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting LTE Network in Rail environments.
* Ensure performance levels to SLA/OLA applicable in own area.
* Site testing and acceptance based on test procedures and test plans.
* Support acceptance of Network & Sites in own area.
* Support escalated deployment matters in own area.
* Support outage and general investigations for reporting purposes.
* Support liaison with deployments subcontractors & 3rd parties in own area.
* Undertake special assignments to resolve Network Operations issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Hands-on experience in NOKIA 3G or 4G or LTE mobile network roll-outs.
* Understanding of NOKIA site and delivery processes.
* Ability to work independently and cooperate with subcontractors.
* Travel within Australia may be required.
* Education: Engineer or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or similar.
