Paxon Group is a leading Internal Audit and Risk Management Firm based in Perth, Western Australia.
Paxon is a recognised preferred panel supplier of internal audit services for the WA State Government's Departments and Agencies via the Common Use Agreements with the Department of Finance and the Local Government Sector of WA via the Western Australian Local Government Associated (WALGA). Paxon also provides internal audit services in other locations across Australia.
The Audit team is seeking a full-time Senior Internal Auditor. The ideal person will work autonomously and report directly to the Director.
The role will involve the following:
* Participating in co-outsourced internal audit programs;
* Delivering the Strategic Internal Audit Plan on behalf of the client;
* Internal Audits, inclusive of development of plans and assessments under the Risk Based approach;
* Undertaking field work and review;
* Preparation of Audit Reports;
* Attendance and presentation at Audit Committee meetings;
* Participating in Risk Service engagements and other performance and compliance reviews; and
* Develop relationships with client personnel.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have between 2 - 5 years' experience in a similar role within afinancial audit background.
The role is suited to candidates with the following:
* Must be degree qualified. CIA, CPA or CA is preferred but not required;
* Have an understanding of the Risk Based Internal Audit approach, with the view of providing client based business improvement solutions;
* Understanding and experience in assessing and providing Performance and Compliance Reviews;
* Strong ability to create work programs and undertaking field work effectively and efficiently; and
* Advance communication and report writing skills.
