About Us
The Joint Parliamentary Service Committee (JPSC) is a Standing Committee of the Parliament. It consists of the President of the Legislative Council, the Speaker of the House of Assembly and two Members from each House. The JPSC is responsible for the administration of the Joint Parliamentary Service.
Parliamentary Reporting Division (Hansard)
is one of the Joint Services of the Parliament of South Australia. Our staff includes reporters, editors and publishers. We provide a customer-focused service to Members of Parliament, their staff and the general public.
Reporters prepare and edit, as required, transcripts of the Parliament's proceedings and other related events using technology such as digital audio recording and voice-to-text transcription tools.
Hansard Reporters demonstrate a high level of keyboard/word processing competency, an ability to transcribe and edit to a specified standard in an efficient manner using relevant technology, and a demonstrated capacity to work as a member of a diverse team.
Applications must address the Essential Requirements in the Person Specification. An appointment is subject to the conditions applying under the Parliament (Joint Services) Act 1985. The role will require some out-of-hours work and occasional intra and interstate travel.
Employees are required to comply with all health, safety, and risk management policies and procedures of the Parliament and take all reasonable care that their actions or omissions do not impact the health and safety of others in the Parliament precinct.
Employees must observe the Parliament of South Australia Code of Conduct and comply with the Conduct Standards in the Code.

Salary:
Part-time annual salary range of $59,166 - $71,833, plus superannuation and incidentals.
