As Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, you will build connections with the local community, including local services, First Nations Peoples, and multicultural communities. Your day will see you leading social media and marketing campaigns and liaising with the community advisory group.
You'll take the lead on designing and delivering health promotion activities and events, as well as promoting the services of the established centre to encourage early and meaningful access to health services. You'll also work to increase mental health literacy among young people and help break down stigma.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll see relationships grow and our profile strengthen. The whole team is passionate and professional, with many team members across both sites (Ipswich and Kingaroy) to collaborate with.
This role would suit a recent graduate with a couple of years' experience in the field of youth mental health or alcohol/other drug social issues. We're looking for:
- · A degree in a discipline like Community Development, Health Promotion, Public Health, Social/Behavioural Science, or Social Work/Planning – or relevant experience
- · Demonstrated knowledge of working within a Community Development Framework
- · Understanding of project management with the ability to plan, develop, and implement youth engagement and community development initiatives
- · Sound knowledge of and capacity to implement effective community engagement strategies, including use of social media
To be successful in this role, you'll build relationships easily and communicate clearly. You'll also need flexibility to travel within the surrounding area and occasionally work after hours (including evenings and weekends).
Ideally, you'll bring an understanding of the not-for-profit sector, especially in mental health.
