Join a critical infrastructure project introducing advanced signaling technology We are seeking a highly experienced Telecommunications Data Radio System SME to provide essential technical guidance and review support for a major rollout in a high-density metropolitan area. This role is key to ensuring project deliverables meet all necessary operational and safety obligations for this communication and control system implementation.
What You Will Do :
Provide expert technical advice on the Data Radio System (DRS) to authorised personnel.
Review comprehensive project deliverables, including design packages, installation plans, and testing and commissioning documentation.
Participate in key workshops, such as design review and Safety in Design (SID) sessions.
Present findings at design forums and obtain approvals for significant design decisions made by the contractor.
Support the development and execution of a Knowledge Transfer Plan to staff from nominated contractors / consultants.
What You Need to Apply for This Role :
Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience with Data Radio Systems, preferably within critical infrastructure environments.
A Degree in Engineering or Technology relevant to telecommunications and systems engineering.
Practical experience in the design, configuration, and maintenance of data radio networks for operational technology (OT).
Proficiency with communication technologies, specifically GSM-R, LTE, and emerging 5G technologies.
Experience in implementing cybersecurity best practices for wireless communication systems, including encryption and authentication.
