Work Health and Safety Specialist
This is a challenging role that involves fostering a culture of safety, health, and wellbeing across the organisation. As a Work Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, reduce workplace risks, and enhance employee wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS or experience in a related discipline. They should also have a strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, ISO 45001 standards, and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will lead risk assessments, incident investigations, manage return to work portfolio and WHS initiatives while providing expert guidance to employees and leaders. You will promote the mission and values of Calvary through promoting wellbeing initiatives and modelling safety leadership.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can develop, deliver, and evaluate WHS and wellbeing training programs. The successful candidate will have proven experience in effectively managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs. They should also have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations, and data analysis for informed decision-making.
