A rare short-term locum opportunity is available at Avive Clinic Mornington Peninsula, a purpose-built 60-bed private mental health hospital in Mount Eliza (VIC).
Locum Period: 29 June – 10 July 2026
Hours: Flexible (a few hours per day, selected days or across the full period)
Remuneration: Negotiable
Working alongside consultant psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, you will provide medical support to patients participating in inpatient mental health and addiction treatment programs.
Clinical focus
* Withdrawal management and detoxification support
* General medical reviews and physical health oversight
* Medication reviews and clinical documentation
* Collaborative care alongside consultant psychiatrists
* Integrated care for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns
About you
* Current AHPRA registration
* FRACGP or equivalent vocational registration
* Interest in mental health, addiction medicine or dual diagnosis care
* Experience in withdrawal management is advantageous but not essential
