Accommodation: BHP Warrawandu Camp (30 mins from Newman Airport)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Site Engineer to join our team on a major flood bund construction project adjacent to the upcoming South Jimblebar Pit. This is a non-ongoing contract through to end of 2025, offering the prospect to work on a high-profile project in the Pilbara.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee civil works including construction of a 3km flood bund.
- Manage clean-up and trim excavation post bulk mining operations.
- Coordinate load/haul of client-supplied material.
- Supervise placement, moisture conditioning, and embankment trimming.
- Trim and shape bund structures to design specifications.
- Manage installation of polypipe sleeves over existing dewatering lines (inclusive of poly welding and clay lining).
- Oversee material screening operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards at all times.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years' experience in civil/earthworks projects (mining or infrastructure preferred).
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and quality standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Current driver's licence, and a white card (within 2 years)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening.
