This Maternal and Child Health position is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in your community. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for promoting and protecting the health of children ages 0–6 years and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

* Fulfilling a specialist role in the community by providing health guidance and advice on childcare, parenting, maternal and child health issues.

* Maintaining accurate records of consultations into the Child Development Information System.
">
* Providing information on nutrition for children and promoting breast-feeding through education and support.
">
* Identifying the type of support needed by customers/families and encouraging the use of community resources.
">
* Intervening or referring children/families to other services as appropriate.
">

About You
">
We are looking for a qualified individual with experience in Maternal and Child Health. You should have a strong understanding of providing services within a Local Government setting and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. A current driver's license and Working with Children Check are also required.

* Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.

* Maternal and Child Health Qualifications.

* Relevant experience in Maternal and Child Health.
