About the Role
* This is a newly created 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension, established to support Pennwood's rapid growth and digital transformation.
* Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Analyst will serve as the organisation's specialist in financial analysis, business intelligence, and automation.
* This role will be instrumental in designing the organisation's data-driven future transforming fragmented systems into a single source of truth, reducing manual work, and building intelligent, automated processes that support better and faster decision-making.
* The core purpose of this position is to identify, streamline, and eliminate inefficiency across the organisation.
Tasks and Duties
* Design, build and implement Power BI dashboards and reporting tools. Translate data from MYOB, Tanda and eCase into meaningful insights for senior leadership.
* Identify manual processes across the business and recommend technology-led solutions. Implement software and AI-powered tools to reduce tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and manual reporting.
* Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate automation opportunities.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities, Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic and operational decisions.
* Work closely with departments to understand workflows and identify pain points. Build strong internal relationships and act as a trusted advisor to drive efficiency.
* Operate independently while maintaining regular alignment with the CFO on priorities, progress, and roadblocks.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in financial analysis, business intelligence or FP&A.
* Strong Power BI capability, including data modelling and dashboard development.
* Demonstrated experience or strong interest in automation, AI tools, or process optimisation.
* Comfortable working with systems such as MYOB, Tanda or eCase (or similar platforms).
* Ability to work independently and communicate insights with clarity and impact.
* Eligibility to work in Australia; National Police Check suitable for aged care; NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain one).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
