As they continue to invest in their internal capability, this newly created Senior Management Accountant role is at the heart of one of their most important transformations yet.The RoleThis is more than a role. It’s a call to arms for a Senior Management Accountant who sees patterns in the noise and meaning in the margin. You’ll work hand-in-hand with a newly appointed Manager of Management Accounting to help build a forecasting and performance unit from the ground up. Your focus will be on understanding the story behind the numbers — particularly those tied to the performance of a major joint venture — and turning operational data into financial intelligence.From budgeting and variance analysis to dashboard development and stakeholder engagement, this role combines the rigour of accounting with the creativity of insight. You won’t just report the figures — you’ll explain them, challenge them and build the tools that make better decisions possible. Your key responsibilities will include:Driving budgeting and forecasting processes across joint venture operationsPerforming detailed monthly and weekly variance analysis, interpreting financial results in the context of operational performance.Building and maintaining dashboards and reports to surface business insights.Partnering closely with the Operations Team and Finance leadership to support cash flow, FX hedging, and planning.Preparing clear, board-ready reports that transform raw data into strategic recommendations.Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including operations, finance, and joint venture partners.Contributing to the design and rollout of new performance reporting tools, processes, and insights infrastructure.Supporting the Manager of Management Accounting in building a new unit — setting up systems and laying the foundation for long-term capability.About YouYou’re not afraid of a blank canvas. In fact, you prefer it. You’re a CA or CPA with experience that blends commercial savvy and technical depth. Maybe you cut your teeth in public practice before stepping into industry. Maybe you’ve come up through the ranks of a complex, operationally rich business. Either way, you’ve built models, dashboards, and forecasts — and you’re not intimidated by data that’s messy or incomplete.You're detail-oriented but never lose the plot. You know that a budget is only as good as the questions it answers, and your strength lies in asking the right ones. You enjoy working with smart people, even when they challenge you.
