Maryborough Central State School (MCSS) is the seventh oldest operating state primary school in Queensland, established in the heritage town of Maryborough in 1862, with many second and third generation families connected to the school. MCSS is committed to delivering quality education aligned with the Department of Education's vision of \"equity and excellence\", focusing on the whole child through an inclusive approach that supports achievement, wellbeing, engagement, culture and inclusion.
MCSS is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, fostering a supportive, whole-school approach where respect, effort, safety, and self-responsibility guide everything we do. We use data-driven insights to track and support every student's progress in behaviour, attendance, and achievement, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. Our staff collaborate closely with other schools in the cluster to lead innovative initiatives, build professional capability, and provide enriched learning experiences for students, including smooth transitions for prep students from local kindergartens. We are seeking a primary teacher with the ability to teach across year levels in upper primary, who is passionate about making a positive impact in a vibrant, inclusive learning community.
