The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our Goodman Fielder team in Hobart.
This full-time, salaried position working on a Tuesday to Saturday, including one full factory close-down day dedicated to maintenance.
In this role, you'll be a key part of our high-performing Operations team, ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable and running at its best. If you're mechanically strong, safety-focused and enjoy problem-solving, this is a fantastic chance to grow your career with a leading FMCG manufacturer.
What You Will Do
- Complete preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs, modifications and service work.
- Prioritise maintenance tasks and respond to breakdowns as the first point of contact.
- Support engineering standards through effective SH&E; and QA reporting.
- Participate in training and contribute to continuous improvement activity across the site.
What You Will Bring
- Mechanical trade qualification.
- Strong technical and diagnostic capability with experience in fast-paced environments.
- Risk assessment skills and a strong safety mindset.
- Good communication, teamwork and numeracy skills.
