Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Australian Work Rights Visa). You must attach to your application in order to progress.
This is a Level 3 position, however experienced level 1/2 Speech Pathologists are also encouraged to apply.

This is a unique opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to step into a role designed to build advanced clinical capability and gain valuable specialist experience within a supportive hospital environment. Based at Port Macquarie Base Hospital and working across the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network, this position offers exposure to a broad and complex adult caseload across acute, subacute, rehabilitation, and oncology settings.
What you'll be doing

Clinicians will have the opportunity to work within specialised clinical areas, including VFSS and speech pathologist-led FEES, with structured onsite mentoring available for those building proficiency in these areas. This makes the role particularly well suited to clinicians who are motivated to expand their scope of practice or consolidate and deepen their clinical skills.


Working within a collaborative and experienced team, you will be supported to grow professionally while also contributing to clinical supervision and the ongoing development of the service. The department has a strong commitment to learning and development, making it an ideal environment for experienced Level 1/2 clinicians who are ready to take the next step in their career.
This temporary maternity leave position offers potential for extension and provides an excellent platform to gain sought-after acute and specialist experience, all while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of the Mid North Coast.
