Responsibilities
BESIX Watpac are looking for a Construction Planner to join our NSW Construction team supporting our project delivery teams.
* Lead the management and preparation of construction planning and programming
* Assist Project Managers and site teams in sequencing works, resource allocation and progress monitoring.
* Preparation of contract, target and tender programs.
* Program monitoring and updating.
* Program resource analysis.
* Preparation of program status reports.
* Management of program delay analysis.
Qualifications
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
* Proficiency in construction scheduling software (e.g. Asta, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar).
* Strong understanding of construction processes sequencing and the ability to interpret technical drawings and models.
* Understanding of the commercial requirements associated with the tender process.
* Proven ability to manage several complex tasks simultaneously to tight deadlines.
* Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a particularly strong internal customer focus.
* Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision‑making skills.
* Ability to deliver accurate programs in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
* Proven experience in construction planning, project management or scheduling.
* Familiarity with budgeting and cost control practices in construction projects.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to foresee potential project delays or issues and address them proactively.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within the construction industry.
