IBISWorld is looking for a dedicated, client-focused Assistant Editor to join our Editorial team for. We are a client-driven global organisation that conducts company and industry research across thousands of global and domestic markets. **The Role**

You will be provided with on-the-job training when you first join IBISWorld, and your colleagues will support you in learning about our product and your role.

**Reporting to the Head of Production, you will be responsible for**:

- Copyediting economic reports for spelling, punctuation and grammar issues
- Making corrections to reports without altering the meaning or logic of the content
- Ensuring that economic reports adhere to company writing and style guidelines
- Liaising with authors to resolve writing or logic issues in reports in a timely manner
- Performing basic layout and typesetting tasks in InDesign and Illustrator
- Collaborating with the Editorial team, authors and managers
- Other duties as assigned

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, publishing or equivalent
- Attention to detail, impeccable grammar skills and experience using style guides
- Strong organisation and time management skills (must be able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards)
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise and collaborate
- Sound computer skills

**Preferred Attributes**
- General knowledge of business and economic concepts and experience working at a business publication would be highly regarded
- Economics or maths background is an advantage
- Experience as a proofreader or copyeditor preferred
