As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join their team based at RAAF Williamtown NSW 2314 - north of Newcastle offering between $125,000 - $140,000 salary package. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to relocate and to establish themselves in the Newcastle region within a great employment environment.
Successful candidates must be an Australian citizen and must currently hold a NV1 security clearance - this can be active or inactive. If it is inactive, the client is able to be a sponsor and work on the activation. Applicants that do not meet both these requirements cannot be considered for this role.

This role will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the organisation's accounts payable function. Also, will be responsible for processing a high volume of international invoices, maintaining financial data integrity, and acting as a primary point of contact for accounts payable enquiries.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Finance Manager; you are responsible for
* Processing of international supplier invoices with correct coding and accuracy
* Prepare and post journal entries for month‐end and financial adjustments
* Verify funds availability and escrow discrepancies as and when required
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve invoice related matters
* Respond to internal and external accounts payable queries on a timely basis
* Support the integrity of internal controls through early identification of potential setbacks
* Identify potential control issues early and contribute to continuous process improvement
* Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within a similar experience alongside enjoying working with data, solving process-related issues and supporting the end to end accounts payable function. You will also bring:
* Proven experience in Accounts Payable or transactional finance
* Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry capability
* Ability to manage high volume processing within deadlines
* Able to work independently and within a team environment
* Process‐driven, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
* Intermediate Excel skill - VLOOKUP, IF, SUM and SUMIF functions and Pivot Tables
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience working in CASG projects would be an advantage
* MUST be an Australian Citizen and MUST have active/inactive NV1 security clearance or even Baseline clearance
* Permanent full time position
* $125,000 - $140,000 salary package
* RAAF Williamtown, NSW 2314 - near the Newcastle region
