The Opportunity
Based in Port Hedland, WA, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees and work activities to ensure that all operational tasks are completed safely and meet operational requirements.
* Oversight and management of business unit performance: Labour and disposal costs, individual/business unit KPI's and individual performance management.
* Support and implement continuous improvement projects: Route optimisation, implementation of new procedures, in-cab technology, and continual team development.
* Ensure team members comply with legislative and internal policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment: fatigue/mass breach audits, vehicle inspections, site inspections, team training modules, and employee onboarding.
* Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maximise customer service and operational efficiencies: Complaint resolution, procedural changes, toolboxes.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a people-focused Supervisor with a waste management or transport & logistics background, excellent time management skills, and the ability to effectively manage timeframes.
* Industrial/employee relations legislation knowledge
* HS and environmental management systems and legislation
* An HR licence is essential
* Supervisory and teamwork, ideally within a unionised environment
