Job Title: Part-Time Dental Assistant / Receptionist
Location's: Renew Dental Care & Pakenham Dental
Schedule: Part-time (set days/hours; flexibility required) minimum of 25 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Assistant / Receptionist who takes pride in their work, maintains impeccable standards, and contributes positively to a refined, efficient office environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Clinical Excellence (Dental Assistant):
* Assist the dentist with precision and professionalism during all procedures
* Prepare, maintain, and break down operatories to the highest sterilization and infection-control standards
* Accurately process dental X-rays
* Maintain thorough, compliant, and well-organized clinical records
* Anticipate provider needs and support efficient patient flow
* Educate patients clearly and confidently on post-treatment instructions
Front Office & Patient Experience (Reception):
* Deliver a polished, welcoming, and professional patient experience always
* Manage scheduling with accuracy, discretion, and efficiency
* Handle phone calls, confirmations, and patient communications with excellent etiquette
* Treatment planning
* Demonstrates a strong, professional problem-solving mindset
* Process insurance claims, billing, and payments with accuracy and attention to detail
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere strictly to ADA standards
* Maintains proactive management of follow-up calls

* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour

Qualifications:
* Dental Assistant certification and/or relevant dental experience required
* Prior experience in a high-standard dental or medical practice preferred
* Proficiency with dental software (Prakitka, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of infection control
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
