NNSWLHD provides a diverse range of public healthcare through 12 hospitals and multi‐purpose services, 21 community health centres and other facilities.This is an exciting opportunity to join Tweed Valley Hospital, your primary work location and a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed‐Byron region also including Murwillumbah District and Byron Central Hospitals. Tweed Valley Hospital opened on 14 May 2024. The new facility includes:more operating theatres and recovery spacesexpanded emergency departmentenhanced medical, surgical and mental health servicesenhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatients clinicsnew interventional cardiology servicenew radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service.The Location The Tweed Valley is a subtropical oasis encompassing the rugged terrain of Wollumbin National Park, arty riverside villages, historic coastal towns and the gateway to the Gold Coast. Visit https://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/ for more information.Eligibility and QualificationsEligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Radiation Oncologist and/or overseas trained specialist pathway and NSW EPA Radiation Licenses: License S3 Use radioactive substances for radiation oncology; and License IA3 Use radiation apparatus for radiation oncologyDemonstrated recent clinical experience in Radiation Oncology at the role delineation of the service.
