The Position
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Revit drafter to join our growing team at Xeros Piccolo Consulting Engineers. We want someone who can lead and develop our Revit drafting team!
In this role, you’ll work alongside our experienced structural and civil engineers to produce high-quality drawings and documentation across a diverse range of projects. You’ll be involved from concept through to construction, contributing to the delivery of innovative and practical design solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a passion for learning and developing within a supportive, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in structural drafting and design within Australia. You must be highly proficient in Revit (this position is not suitable for students or new graduates). We require a strong background in structural drafting, particularly with steel structures, which will be used to develop our Revit drafting capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to step up to the next level in their career, and is located at our Wagga Wagga office.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop draft and detailed drawings, models, and technical plans.
* Develop in-house Revit drafting capabilities.
* Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to produce accurate and high-quality documentation.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
* Revise and update drawings, as required, throughout project phases.
Position Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural drafting within Australia.
* Strong proficiency in Revit (mandatory requirement).
* Proficiency in additional industry-standard tools (AutoCAD).
* Structural drafting skills and the ability to interpret structural documentation.
* Structural drafting experience is an essential requirement of this role.
* Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant industry regulations, especially accessibility.
* Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Good time management skills are essential – the ability to engage in several projects at once and manage various responsibilities is a must.
