Spatial Information Officer Role
Job Summary:
* The successful candidate will conduct geographic information system (GIS) research and analysis, develop and implement GIS data, identify business improvement opportunities and develop proposals, support internal clients on strategic and technical issues, and undertake audits to ensure relevant documentation is accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting spatial analysis and developing GIS solutions to support the delivery of Council's GIS and spatial analysis services.
2. Developing, implementing and maintaining geospatial data and systems.
3. Identifying areas for process improvement and recommending changes.
4. Providing technical guidance and support to internal clients on spatial analysis and GIS-related matters.
5. Auditing GIS data and ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
1. Significant experience in a similar role conducting spatial analysis, problem resolution and GIS process design.
2. High level of proficiency in spatial software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff at varying levels of knowledge.
