Busways is seeking a highly experienced Mechanic for the Kincumber Depot to lead a team and support innovative practices in fleet maintenance.

Role Responsibilities
* Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling the fleet and ensuring safety, quality and Busways standards are followed at all times.
* Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines.
* Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.
* Attend breakdowns and carry out any field related mechanical repairs.
* Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues.
* Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties.
* Maintaining clean workshop practices.
* Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required.
* Performing ad‐hoc tasks and other duties as directed.
Our workshop staff play a critical role in ensuring our evolving fleet of vehicles is maintained to the highest standard, keeping staff and passengers safe on the road.
All necessary training will be provided, including information on the various makes and models of vehicles to meet contract obligations.
Qualifications
* Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
* Certificate III in commercial vehicle mechanical technology or above; Certificate III in light vehicle mechanical technology with 4–5 years post‐apprenticeship experience in a similar role with the same level of responsibilities highly regarded.
* Experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles.
* Adherence to WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
* Proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement.
* Physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role.
* Willing to undergo a pre‐employment medical check and working with children check.
* Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
* Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence issued by the relevant State.
Preferred Qualifications
* Medium Rigid (MR) or above Australian driver's licence.
* Heavy vehicle diesel mechanic experience (training and development provided).
