**ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE**
Our client is one of Australia's leading hospitality entertainment providers. Due to extended growth within the business, they are now looking for a creative and experienced Product Owner to own and optimise newly selected inventory management system & customer experience enhancements to consistently improve conversion rates.
**THE ROLE**
- Work with the delivery & product team to implement the inventory management system and any related integrations.
- Manage the ongoing updates required for the system to operate at the highest level. This includes but is not limited to
implementing the system at current venues, issue and bug solving and updates to the software.
- Be the go-to person for all things related to the product including troubleshooting, anomalies and ensuring it is always operating in an optimal state.
- Management of stock and products including data entry, recipe management and supplier ordering portals
- Supporting the business in reporting on the movement of inventory and flagging any efficiencies and discrepancies
- Work alongside internal stakeholders and relevant 3rd party vendors to deliver improvements
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Write actionable requirements documentation for engineering teams and/or 3rd party vendors
- Ensure project milestones & features are delivered to product development timelines, budget and deliverables
- Assist with sequencing and timing of projects deliverables
- Review, test and pre-release product development initiates
- Works with customer insights from current users of the digital products, to define and recommend the nature and scope of present and future product functionality, reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product design.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
- Develop and implement planning, coordination, and reporting processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure product compliance with applicable regulations by managing external agencies.
**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3+ years of demonstrable Product or System Owner / Manager experience
- Strong skills in project management, agile methodologies preferred.
- Tertiary education in Business, Commerce, Marketing, IT.
- Experience in translating requirements into actionable user stories
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, across multiple stakeholders and teams across programs
- Exposure to and knowledge of the importance of Quality Assurance testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Understanding of APIs and integrations between systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- SQL & Database knowledge is highly favourable
- Knowledge of JIRA / Confluence would be desirable
