Quality, Risk and Compliance Specialist (Vietnamese Speaking)
The Quality, Risk and Compliance Specialist is responsible for independently planning, designing, conducting, and reporting on internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and operational cost-effectiveness across AVWA, including the aged care and disability programs. The role operates independently from day-to-day operational management activities, functionally reports to the Audit & Risk Subcommittee (ARS), and administratively to the Executive Operations & Compliance Manager and the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, design, execute, and report on internal audits and compliance reviews to evaluate governance frameworks, operational controls, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness of organisational processes.
* Independently assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, governance systems, and business operations against applicable standards and legislation.
* Identify control weaknesses, operational risks, inefficiencies, and compliance gaps, and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
* Develop, maintain, and implement risk-based internal audit programs, methodologies, compliance frameworks, and risk management plans.
* Prepare and present required reports to the CEO and the ARS, clearly presenting audit findings, root cause analyses, risk ratings, and recommended corrective actions.
* Advise Senior Management on improvements to internal controls, governance structures, and regulatory compliance.
* Deliver training and awareness sessions to staff on internal control concepts, audit reviews and findings, compliance obligations, and risk management practices.
* Lead internal and external audit coordination activities, ensuring audit readiness and managing assurance coverage while maintaining objectivity and independence.
* Monitor and analyse changes in regulatory requirements, emerging risks, and industry developments to proactively update internal plans and compliance frameworks.

Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Internal Auditing, Risk Management, or related fields.
* Demonstrated experience conducting internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
* Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality, governance, and compliance systems in NFP, Aged Care, and/or Disability Services.
* Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing reports for Senior Management and Audit Committee.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to raising and resolving issues.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct data analysis and prepare audit reports.
* Proven ability to work independently and lead audit projects in a dynamic governance environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise multiple projects and tasks effectively.
* Bilingual skills (Vietnamese & English).
* Experience working with multicultural or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
* Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, and database management platforms.
* Clinical care experience considered an advantage.
