Academic and Wellbeing Support Specialist
The School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic and Wellbeing Support Specialist to join our counselling and student wellbeing teams on the Senior Campus.
This role provides an essential service within the School, contributing proactively to students' ongoing development in learning and wellbeing.
* Delivering a professional, ethical, and evidence-based support service for students and families.
* Supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural growth through proactive and preventative programs.
* Promoting resilience and wellbeing through skill-building strategies and collaborative partnerships.
About You: If you have a strong foundation in psychology or education, with experience supporting children and adolescents through challenges that impact their learning and wellbeing. You should be comfortable navigating sensitive conversations and able to balance confidentiality with collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver a supportive and inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
2. Develop and implement proactive programs to promote student wellbeing and resilience.
3. Collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders to enhance student outcomes and improve school policies.
4. Conduct assessments and develop strategies to address students' individual needs and goals.
5. Provide guidance and support to parents and carers to help them understand and address student concerns.
