Your new role
As a Dangerous Goods Officer, you'll ensure all freight is packaged and documented in full compliance with IMDG and IATA DGR regulations. You'll manage the packing, marking, and labelling of consignments, prepare accurate documentation, and provide regulatory guidance to warehouse and logistics staff. This role also involves liaising with authorities, carriers, and suppliers, maintaining training records, and ensuring all packaging consumables are stocked to support operations.
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum 5 years' experience handling and preparing dangerous goods documentation for export and storage
* Strong knowledge of IMDG, IATA, and WHS legislation
* Proven ability to classify DGs, assign UN numbers, and prepare compliant documentation
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Cargowise highly regarded
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
