About the role:
This role will see you be responsible for the overall management of the Tamworth Hospital Clinical Information Department. Given that no two days are the same in this dynamic role, you will need to be flexible and highly responsive to the changing needs of the department and wider organisation.
At Hunter New England Local Health District, we are proud to lead the way in the NSW statewide rollout of a Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR). This will see significant changes to work practices for our Clinical Information Department, giving you the unique opportunity to be actively involved in this change.
You will report to the General Manager of Tamworth Hospital and will work collaboratively with clinicians and managers across the site. To help you thrive in this role, you will be supported with a comprehensive orientation to the service, hospital, and district. You will have access to a range of leadership and management training opportunities as well as our online Managers Help Centre. In addition, you will have monthly accountability meetings with your manager to ensure you are feeling confident in the role and are receiving the support you need.

Join our supportive and collaborative team of clinical information officers, medicolegal officers and clinical coders based at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated, competent clinical information officer with a professional attitude, high level organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain good working relationships across teams and organisations.
You should be a strong leader with well-developed people management skills and the ability to successfully manage a team throughout periods of change.
You will need skills in Microsoft Office, namely Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.

Requirements:
* Degree in Health Information Management (or equivalent) or extensive experience in working in a senior position within a Health Information (Medical Record) Service.
