We are seeking an experienced Senior Precast Concrete / Construction Estimator to take the lead on incoming enquires and quoting of jobs.
This is a dynamic role as things are always evolving in our fast-paced industry and we adapt when needed to assist our clients.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a background in the estimating for complex tenders, a track record in producing accurate estimates and prior experience working with all stages of construction from bid preparation, through to project award then completion.
This is a Full-Time position to start as soon as possible.
Key Duties
Complete full analysis and detailed reviews of the Tender request packages, client request for quotation proposals and detailed construction bid drawing sets and specifications
Ensure each estimate has a clear and definitive accompanying scope of work
Assist with the coordination of smooth communication between all stakeholders
Preparation and submission of Quantity Take-offs, estimates, quotes and tenders in relation to major and minor projects
Identify, consider and discuss all commercial risks and liabilities in the preparation of tenders
Skills & Experience
2+ years in a similar role
High level ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings
Experience with precast concrete highly desirable
Scheduling Experience highly desirable
Relevant tertiary education highly desirable
Experience in managing subcontracts
Strong oral and written communication skillsAbility to operate with minimal supervision
Good problem solving, investigative and conflict resolution skills
Ability to lead and direct the works of others
Strong time management skills while showcasing attention to detail
Demonstrated risk assessment and quality assurance expertise
Experience using Revit / AutoCAD / Bluebeam or Adobe PDF applications
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Ability and willingness to learn and adapt whilst on the job
Proven ability to build cohesive relationships with internal and external stake holders
Possess a real "can do" attitude
High levels of enthusiasm
Must have full working rights for within Australia
This is a full time permanent position in a friendly environment.
Located in Naval Base.
