Procurement Strategist
We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to join our organization as a Procurement Strategist. This critical role will play a key part in evolving our procurement function into a strategic driver of end-to-end business value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and deliver sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including analyzing market trends and identifying market developments.
* Lead sourcing initiatives, including RFX processes, negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, and implementation.
* Act as a strategic business partner, engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions and unlock end-to-end value.
* Build strong understanding of market dynamics, commodity/cost drivers, inflation trends, and supply risks, and translate insights into actions that mitigate risk and enhance resilience.
* Champion total cost of assigned categories by identifying and implementing novel ways to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance innovation.
* Manage spend area's P&L, including ownership of the annual operating plan and regular forecast updates.
About You:
* Proven experience in category management roles, specifically in indirect corporate and commercial services.
* Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of sourcing and contracting processes, and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
* Commercial acumen, project management, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and proficiency in Excel and procurement/business systems.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred, and eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
