Overview
EcoSpace is currently seeking 5 volunteers to join their EcoCrew. EcoSpace aims to provide eco-therapy centred, community-development programs to address issues regarding climate change and spikes in mental health to encourage individual and community action towards a more resilient and sustainable future.
What you will do
EcoSpace is looking for volunteers who can help out in doing "rounds". This involves:
* Being available on a rotational roster to once a week (mainly on a day of the weekend).
* Pick up and collection of coffee-ground and/or brown waste containers from three Geraldton businesses: Tarts & Co, Cafe Fleur and Piper Lane, as coordinated with what time suits them best.
Equipment is supplied and the three cafes are within walking distance of the EcoSpace Compost Base in Blue Heelers Square. EcoSpace composts the coffee grounds and brown waste to use in their future educational and gardening programs which volunteers can also be involved in!
Other volunteering opportunities
Other volunteering opportunities within EcoSpace branches may involve social media marketing, community engagement initiatives and volunteer recruitment. If any of these areas are of interest to you, we would love to hear more from you!
Who can apply
We encourage young people specifically aged 13-25 to be part of this venture, but those up to the age of 50 are also welcome to apply.
