Tragear & Harris Lawyers and Mornington Legal are boutique practices based in Sandringham and Mornington. We are part of the Nesh Legal Group. We have a thriving practice in Wills and Estates, Property and Commercial law and Family law. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lawyer for an immediate start.
Qualifications & Experience
A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years post-admission experience is preferred. Candidates with greater experience will be more favourably considered.
Having a current unrestricted Practicing Certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Good knowledge of Wills and Estate matters is essential.
You must work well in a team and autonomously, be thorough, and motivated to take ownership of your work.
Experience with LEAP Legal Software would be advantageous.
Understanding of litigation matters, preferably with experience in Estate and Trust litigation, is required.
Familiarity with the Probate and Administration process from applying for the grant to administration of estates is necessary.
Experience in Family law matters is also required.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Conferences with clients.
Handling your own files autonomously with guidance.
Attending Court.
Corresponding with other professional colleagues, Counsel, and Court.
Preparing Court Documents.
Other general legal matters and a common sense approach which is required in a boutique general law firm.
Assisting with general office duties.
You will work with a small and friendly team.
There is some flexibility to work from home (negotiable).
Run your own files independently with minimal interference from other colleagues or the Principal.
Excellent training provided and option to take up courses to improve your skills and knowledge.
