About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our Finance team in Mount Isa. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, vendor management, payment processing, and financial compliance.
This position is offered as a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work remotely and an expectation of regular travel to Mount Isa.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and process invoices with appropriate documentation and approvals
* Maintain vendor records and resolve payment discrepancies
* Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments
* Reconcile accounts and assist with financial reporting and audits
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
* Contribute to process improvements and system transitions
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
* Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures
* Proficiency in accounting and expense management software
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Practical Requirements
* Current QLD C Class Driver’s Licence
* Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Satisfactory Police Check
* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including remote locations and small aircraft travel
