Introduction
We're a growing, forward‐thinking business delivering high‐quality modular construction solutions right here in Armidale. At Uniplan Group, we do things differently — combining smart systems, efficient manufacturing, and a strong team culture to deliver projects faster and better. As one of NSW's largest modular building manufacturers and leaders in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), we bring over 25 years of experience to everything we do. Our Armidale factory is a dynamic production environment, where buildings move through a precise, regulated 'drum beat' — transforming from a steel chassis into a completed, ready‐to‐occupy building in as little as 21 days. As we continue to grow, we're looking for people who want to be part of something bigger — building not just projects, but a strong future for our team and community.
Our Mission
To be a role model in our field, support our local community, elevate our people, and build lasting relationships — all within a hardworking, family‐oriented culture grounded in strong ethics.
Our Values
* We're a team of spirited, hardworking people
* We innovate to grow
* We make a difference
* We believe in what we do
* We make things easy for our customers
* We show respect to one another
Description
About The Role
As an Onsite Carpenter, you are the final piece of the modular construction puzzle. You'll travel to project sites across NSW to install, finish, and complete modular buildings once they leave our Armidale factory. This includes joining modules onsite, completing carpentry fit‐off, troubleshooting final details, and ensuring every project is delivered to Uniplan's high standards. When not travelling, you'll work in our Armidale factory supporting module construction, pre‐fit, and preparation works. This role offers the perfect balance of onsite variety and factory stability — ideal for someone who enjoys problem‐solving, craftsmanship, and working both independently and as part of a tight‐knight team.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, fit‐off, and complete carpentry works on modular buildings onsite
* Join modules, align structures, and carry out final finishing touches
* Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and installation requirements
* Complete framing, cladding, fix‐out, doors, skirting, trims, and cabinetry fit‐off
* Undertake minor onsite adjustments and rectifications as required
* Support factory carpentry work when not travelling
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment (onsite and factory)
* Liaise with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams professionally
* Represent Uniplan's values and uphold quality workmanship on every job
