About the Role
As a Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations while providing support and line supervision to team members. The role involves centre-based and outreach functions, collaborating with community stakeholders, and participating in the Service Management Team and Organisational Management Team on a rotational basis.
Some travel is required to meet the needs of the role. You will work alongside other specialty roles within the organisation in areas such as financial planning, professional supervision and training, data collection and reporting, research, evaluation and quality assurance, continuous improvement, and succession planning.
* Tertiary qualification (bachelor degree or higher) in human services and/or another relevant field.
* Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience working in, the community services sector inclusive of experience in early intervention to homelessness, domestic and family violence, trauma-informed and recovery-based practices, and case management of community members with multiple complexities.
* Leadership skills and the ability to lead, manage and develop a human service program inclusive of staff supervision and support, administration and financial management.
* Knowledge of Residential Tenancy Act, Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act, and/or other relevant legislation within the human/community services sector.
* Experience in people-centred and solution-focused approaches to service delivery and development.
* Understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of social justice, as well as a demonstrated capacity to work in ways that focus on people's strengths.
* Cultural competency, including a demonstrated understanding of, and experience with, working in ways that are inclusive of people from CALD or otherwise diverse backgrounds.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively (as a team) or autonomously.
