Townsville Enterprise is seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Communications Executive to play a critical role in shaping the reputation, influence, and voice of North Queensland.
You will work closely with senior leadership, industry, government, and media to tell our story locally, nationally, and beyond - while protecting and strengthening our brand.

About the Opportunity
In this pivotal role, you will deliver corporate communications, media relations, and public relations activities that support regional growth, advocacy, and investment.
Working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, you will help position Townsville North Queensland positively at local, state, national, and international levels.
Responsibilities
* Developing and delivering strategic communications and media plans
* Writing and issuing media releases, statements, and feature content
* Managing and monitoring media enquiries and building strong journalist relationships
* Supporting executives with speeches, presentations, and briefings
* Protecting and strengthening the organisation's reputation and brand
* Coordinating communications across digital, print, and traditional media
* Monitoring coverage and identifying proactive storytelling opportunities
* Supporting major campaigns, events, and advocacy priorities
About You
You are a highly organised, proactive communicator who brings both professionalism and passion to your work.
Requirements
* Experience in communications, PR, journalism, or media
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and time management
* The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* A strategic mindset with strong execution capability
* Local knowledge and networks, or the ability to build them quickly
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and media
* A positive, solutions-focused attitude
