About the role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Leading Farm Hand to join our team GIUDICE FARMS in Atherton, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations of our farming business.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing and coordinating the work of other workers to ensure efficient and effective farm operations
* Performing a wide range of manual labour tasks such as planting, harvesting, and maintenance of crops
* Monitoring the health and condition of crops implementing appropriate care and maintenance measures
* Maintaining detailed records of farm activities, production data and inventory
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
* Providing training and guidance to less experienced farm hands
* Collaborating with the farm management team to identify opportunities for process improvements
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a farm hand or in a similar agricultural role
* Strong working knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance
* Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and coordinate a team of farm workers
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of manual farm work
* Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
* Valid driver's licence
