About the Infrastructure Professional Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Professional to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our ICT operations, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient infrastructure solutions that support major government digital services.
This 12-month full-time contract (40 hours per week) offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact projects and shape the future of our nation's ICT systems.
Daily Responsibilities
* Design and implementation: Develop scalable and secure enterprise infrastructure solutions using Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, hybrid cloud environments, and advanced gateway administration.
* Technical leadership: Provide expertise and guidance for project builds, testing, and deployments.
* Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed design, implementation, and test documentation.
* Change management: Participate in change management processes and contribute to operational policy.
* Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide high-level advice to senior executives.
* Tech research: Research and adopt emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
* Disaster recovery: Manage disaster recovery, backups, patches, and gateway network operations.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with interagency teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Requirements
* Expertise: Extensive experience with Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, VPN, hybrid cloud, and gateway systems.
* Experience: Proven experience in enterprise infrastructure design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
* Communication: Strong communication skills, including mentoring and stakeholder engagement.
* Australian citizenship: Australian Citizenship (mandatory).
