Drive Technical Delivery
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on engineering position with genuine autonomy and the opportunity to develop into a senior engineering or project management pathway.
About the Role
* This role is ideal for a Project Engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and having visibility across cost, schedule, procurement, and delivery activities.
* Working closely with Project Managers, you will play a key role in planning work fronts, developing budgets, tracking costs, updating schedules, preparing reports, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting execution across several live projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of multiple mechanical and industrial infrastructure projects.
* Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost-tracking spreadsheets (Excel).
* Assist with procurement, supplier engagement, and subcontractor coordination.
* Prepare and maintain project schedules (MS Project or similar).
* Analyse progress, identify deviations, and support corrective action planning.
* Prepare internal and client-facing reports covering cost, schedule, risks, and performance.
* Support estimating activities and contribute to tender submissions.
* Track variations and ensure commercial adjustments are accurately captured.
* Provide general engineering and project delivery support across all phases of the project lifecycle.
About You
* 3–8+ years' experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or Project Coordinator within mechanical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
* Strong experience with Excel, cost tracking, and project reporting.
* Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
* Exposure to scheduling tools (MS Project or similar).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders.
* A practical, hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Experience with Schedule of Rates or Cost-Plus contracts is beneficial.
* Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering degree preferred.
