We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our Fashion Apparel team.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Design Assistant, you'll support the team with both creative and administrative tasks, including:
Production & Sample Management:
* Communicate changes internally, keeping the change register updated
* Assist with lap dip process for fabrics to ensure accurate color matching
* Assist with print strike-off requests, ensuring high-quality print approvals
* Manage samples arriving from suppliers, salesmen, and for photoshoots
* Organize and track marketing samples for campaigns and e-commerce shoots
* Keep showroom and sample areas organized and up to date
Creative & Design Support:
* Assist the design team from concept to final product
* Create technical flat drawings and specification sheets
* Work on print repeats and textile designs aligning with Black Pepper's brand identity
* Stay ahead of fashion trends and provide inspiration for new collections
Administrative & Logistics Support:
* Prepare and send parcels to China, ensuring smooth logistics
* Maintain organized and current files
* Ensure CAD updates are completed accurately and on time
* Support additional design projects and admin tasks as needed
What You'll Bring to the Role
* Formal qualification in Fashion Design (preferred but not essential)
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
* Experience in a similar fashion or retail design role
* A keen eye for textiles, garment construction, and product development
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Excellent communication skills and team collaboration ability
* Proactive attitude with problem-solving skills
* Team player with a positive mindset
