Working on complex datasets, you will focus on identifying trends and providing actionable insights to improve performance and reliability of Liebherr's mining fleet.

You will contribute to solving real-world reliability challenges, preparing high-quality technical reports and supporting initiatives that enhance asset availability and reduce downtime.

This role offers opportunities to work alongside experienced engineers, participate in field trials and engage directly with customers and factory stakeholders.

You will gain a deep understanding of reliability engineering principles, develop advanced data analysis skills and apply your engineering knowledge to make a measurable impact on operational efficiency.

* Apply advanced data analysis techniques to evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvement actions.
* Prepare detailed reliability reports and presentations focusing on production truck performance and other key Liebherr mining equipment.
* Collaborate with internal teams and the factory to communicate findings and support the resolution of technical issues.
* Take ownership of assigned projects ensuring timely delivery and alignment with reliability improvement objectives.
* Participate in field testing, performance trials and root cause analysis investigations.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, excellent communication and numerical skills, familiarity with reliability maintenance approaches and a passion for learning new things.

A positive attitude, problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety are essential. Additionally, basic understanding of hydraulic drawings and electrical schematics is highly regarded, as is familiarity with Microsoft office suite and statistical modelling.

Prior experience or involvement in automotive, mining or heavy machinery industries is highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be open to interstate and international travel, have a strong attention to detail and be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.
