The Health Information Clerk (HIC) delivers a high-quality, confidential health information service across UnitingCare Hospitals. HICs work in accordance with national standards and organisational policies, handling duties such as scanning, filling, retrieving, and maintaining accuracy of patient records, with a focus on converting paper-based records into the Digital Medical Record (DMR).

Health Information Clerks are responsible for a broad range of health information related duties to support efficient, accurate record-keeping and information access.
Key duties include scanning, filing, retrieving and maintaining accuracy of patient records and the conversion of paper records to the Digital Medical Record (DMR).

* Previous medical records and/or scanning experience is preferable
* Understanding of medical terminology via experience or a Certificate in Medical Terminology is advantageous
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements
