Overview
At Motor Scout Australia, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual testing with a strong grasp of software development best practices. They will play a key role in testing internal software applications and websites to ensure optimal performance, functionality and data integrity. This role requires excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and effective communication skills, particularly when working with our offshore teams. This role is on-site ONLY!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of our internal software applications before product launches to ensure the product meets our requirements
- Ensure compliance with software development best practices, identifying potential risks and suggesting solutions
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand project/product requirements
- Work within a team to ensure test environments are ready and product testing is completed on time with the required level of documented test cases
- Run or create new manual and automated tests (if needed) to confirm the functionality added to products
- Familiarity with GIT or automated test software preferred
- Identify, analyse, document and track defects using JIRA
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure high quality releases
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations for implementation
- Provide input and direction into the testing strategy

Key Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on manual testing
- Experience using JIRA for task tracking and project management
- Proven experience in end-to-end software testing including functional, integration, performance and exploratory testing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Drive quality improvements and best practices across the account
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to identify and resolve complex issues
- Proven experience working within a project team/environment
- Proven ability to manage project related activities and user testing
- Experience in preparing and delivering user training is desirable, not mandatory
- Ability to learn new applications and platforms
- Experience with Android and iOS operating systems versions
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to GIT and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in application and system integration testing
- Experience in API testing
- Prior experience working with international teams across different time zones
- Experience with test automation tools (desirable but not essential)
