Are you seeking a career with growth opportunities and a dynamic work environment? Hastings Deering is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join our Rockhampton branch on a permanent full time basis.
About the Role:
As our Facilities Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for our employees, customer and visitors. Ensuring our facilities and associated assets provide effective and reliable performance to enable our Operational teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role is responsible for the three sites being Emerald, Gladstone and Rockhampton which is one of our Major Business Centres in Central Queensland region.
The responsibilities of this role encompass a wide range of services, including maintenance, repair, compliance and safety, as well as overseeing contractors and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You will play a key role being an integral part of the operational lead team in ensuring our operations are always functioning at their best, providing a positive experience for everyone.
You will take a proactive approach to oversee, manage and deliver on outcomes that oversee all facilities assets.
About You:
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Building trade background desirable: plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, masonry, concreting or landscaping
- Experience in Construction, Commercial, Industrial and Large Infrastructure Projects highly desirable
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience with well-developed communication skills
- Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety
- Your ability to work under pressure during peak periods is essential
- Supervise contractors and staff to perform maintenance to minimise unscheduled breakdowns and ensure the most efficient operation of plant and equipment
- Authorise and sign off on approved rework requests
- Monitor scheduled maintenance on fire safety equipment and manage the operational register to ensure the company meets our regulatory compliance requirements
