About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cook to join our Food Services team for our client in Ceduna, SA. This role is responsible for the preparation, production, and distribution of meals, ensuring high-quality service delivery across clinical and non-clinical areas.
* Roster: Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week).
* Duration: Initial period of 8 weeks, with the potential for extension.
* Start Date: as soon as possible.

Upon completion of this assignment, you will remain in our candidate pool for future opportunities across regional South Australia and metropolitan Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook bulk meals in accordance with production schedules and dietary guidelines
* Puree preparation
* Ensure meals meet specific dietary and allergen requirements (texture modified, allergy-friendly)
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations in all aspects of meal preparation and service
* Accurately follow standardised recipes and portion control guidelines
* Use computer software and kitchen management systems for menu planning, stock control, and documentation
* Support the coordination and timely distribution of meals to various service areas
Essential Requirements
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (highly regarded
* Own vehicle and willingness to travel to Ceduna and other regional areas for minimum 8-week blocks.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in commercial cooking or Chef roles, preferably in an aged care or hospital setting.
* Sound knowledge of cleaning practices, HACCP, and food safety procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rostered basis, including weekends and public holidays, for future assignments.
