This Program Manager - Strategic Asset Engineering role plays a key part in shaping how new equipment is evaluated and introduced across our electricity distribution network — ensuring decisions are technically sound, commercially responsible, and aligned with our values and future-focused asset strategy.
About The Role
Reporting to the Network Assets Manager, you'll lead engineering-driven programs across Jemena's Rising Tide initiatives and other strategic equipment deployments. You'll guide complex work through structured governance, support teams through change, and create clarity where there is ambiguity.
You'll Be Trusted To
Lead strategic equipment evaluation programs with a strong focus on safety, quality, and risk awareness
Bring together engineers, field teams, procurement, consultants, and suppliers to deliver well-governed outcomes
Translate complex technical information into clear, balanced recommendations that support confident decision-making
Coordinate field trials and support the safe, practical introduction of new equipment into the network
Ensure engineering insights are captured, shared, and embedded into standards and future procurement decisions
Provide thoughtful, transparent reporting to senior leaders, supporting informed and inclusive conversations
This is a role where engineering judgement, collaboration, and care matter just as much as technical expertise.
About You
You're an experienced engineer or technical program leader who enjoys working across disciplines and bringing people together around a shared goal. You're comfortable navigating complexity, asking good questions, and supporting others through structured decision-making.
You'll Bring
