About the Job
Burnie Salvos Stores are looking for a talented part-time sales assistant who loves retail, enjoys a challenge, and is passionate about making a difference.
You will support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and create an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.
The roster will include Saturdays and may require flexibility to work a rolling schedule, including weekends and varying locations within the retail area.
Responsibilities
Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices
Collecting, sorting and pricing donations in store
Assisting in the development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation
Providing exceptional customer service
Displaying stock in correct departments following policy and procedure
Following Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
Demonstrating TSA core values in all work related activities
Heavy lifting and manual handling: moving, lifting, and arranging stock, including furniture and large donations
What We're Looking For
Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential.
What matters most is your passion for delivering outstanding results in a complex and rewarding retail environment, your high energy, your integrity, and your willingness to align with The Salvation Army mission and values.
You should be an outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills and solid technical aptitude.
