Hornby Transport Services is seeking a Taughtliner driver within the business, either based at Unanderra, Port Macquarie or Thornton. You will be using sophisticated technology to deliver freight to some of Australia's biggest companies. What does the job look like?
The job can be consistent or vary considering on what the customer requirements are, and what commitments you can make. We are looking for flexible drivers that can work with the business and thrive in an environment that changes frequently.
In this role you will safely transport various freight interstate (dependant on requirements). Key areas:
* Participating and committing to safety standards and COR requirements at all times
* Operating MC configurations to safely deliver various freight to our customers in a safe and timely manner
* Daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
* Complying with the HTS Operations, Policies and Procedures
* Restraining loads using chains, ratchet chains and straps (Flat Tops)
* Managing fatigue in line with relevant fatigue guidelines
Are you the one?
You will have an impeccable safety record, with at least 2 years driving heavy vehicles. You can demonstrate:
* A commitment to safety in everything you do
* Good understanding of load restraint
* Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and Road Transport Legislation
* The ability to safely manage your fatigue
* High-quality customer service and communication skills
* Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology
* Positions based out of Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Brisbane and Wollongong.
* Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position
What we offer:
* Attractive km rate with a above award loading/unloading rates.
* Our drivers earn on average between $110k to $150k per annum
