About the role
Lighthouse Christian College - Keysborough is seeking a highly capable and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. As a full-time role based in Keysborough, VIC 3173, you will be responsible for providing essential technical support and assistance to our science laboratory and classroom activities.
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in a scientific or technical field, such as a diploma or certificate in Laboratory Technology or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a similar role, preferably within an educational or research setting
* Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and the ability to ensure the safe handling and storage of chemicals and equipment
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of organization and cleanliness in the laboratory
